Method of conservation of synthetic surfaces through the intervetion of conservation intervention with low costs, spraying is recommended only if carried out on plants with high density of use, that do not present macroscopic deterioration and that are still in force of homologation. In our case the plant affected by a sprying has been subjected:
- Careful cleaning of the surface with repeated steps of the suction machine;
- Pressure washing and grinding of non- planar parts, binding coat with specific polyurethane primer with anchoring to the existing synthetic coat, given by roller or spray at the rate of 0.15 kg/mq.
- Wear surface layer of mm thickness 2.50 executed by sprying with a special spraying machine, a mixture of polyurethane resin colored at the rate of kg/ square meters 1.15 and terpolymer granules (EPDM) pure colored, of grain size mm. 0.00/1.50, according to kg/mq. 0.85, for a total of mixtures of kg/mq. 2.00, given in several hands, with high resistance to UV rays, to the atmospheric agents and to the mechanical action of the sudded shoes, anti-slip, anti- reflective.
Method of conservation of synthetic surfaces by pouring of self-levelling resins and seeded topping:
- Careful cleaning of the surface with repeated steps of the suction machine;
- Pressure washing and grinding of non-planar parts;
- Waterproofing layer (porous stopper) in a mixture of two-component coloured polyurethane resin and pure colored EPDM terpolymer powder, placed in place with special fractions, for a quantity of mixture of kg/sqm 1.25;
- Wear surface layer of mm thickness. 3.00 formed by self-levelling pouring in two-component coloured polyurethane resin, at a rate of 1.65 kg/m2, placed in operation with toothed rabbits and subsequent manual or mechanical seeding of pure colored terpolymer granules (EPDM) of grain size mm. 1.00/3.50, for kg/mq 3.00 performed on the two-component resin layer not yet catalyzed to obtain the partial incorporation in the same;
- Mechanical suction of the excess granules not perfectly bonded, in order to form a continuous belt with high resistance to UV rays, to atmospheric agents and to the mechanical action of the studded shoes, anti-slip, anti-reflective.
Both interventions have been carried out in such a way that the final coat has the thickness and physical-mechanical characteristics according to the technical regulations FIDAL/IAAF for the homologation and certification of synthetic upper coats for athletic systems.
